There is no doubt that The National Health Service, for example, is a testament to the benefits which citizens of The United Kingdom have enjoyed since the introduction of The Welfare State shortly after WW2. In the meantime. however, other elements have been introduced; many of which may have been abused and, as a consequence, encouraged some to quite deliberately choose to live off the state rather than earn an honest living.
This article illustrates the side-effects of this deplorable attitude and I would go so far as to suggest that it (The Welfare State) has contributed more towards the demise of this country than any - or all - of the military conflicts in which we have been embroiled.
