What's in a name?
Those who were in the UK during the eighties may recall the actress, Maureen Lipman's series of TV commercials for British Telecom (BT) where she portrayed a Jewish grandmother called Beatie (get it?).
In one of them, her teenaged grandson was bemoaning the fact that he hadn't done very well in his examinations. He had, however, passed in Sociology.
"You got an OLOGY!" his grandmother exclaimed, "That's not a failure."
As it happened, I was involved in the passenger transport industry at that time and the word Omnibusologist formed in my mind and I've adopted it as an internet 'User name' ever since. So far as I can tell (from Google) only two other people have used the word. One is an interesting character in Australia and the other is what must be a rather sad individual who has 'stolen' some of what appear to be my personal details to register with a US police officers' web-site.
