Never the most technically-gifted individual, it was a quite an achievement for me to put together this journal in 1997. I used a little old Apple Mac Classic computer to compose the text and pasted photographs, diagrams and maps in the spaces I had left blank for that purpose. Later, a very good friend and neighbour who owned a printing business printed several copies for me to distribute amongst friends and family. In order to feature it in this web-site, I've scanned each page as if it were a photograph and, as a consequence, in some internet browsers, I'm afraid it might not be possible to increase the size of the text.
