Rambling.

Since moving from The Surrey Hills, most of my recent 'Rambling' has involved little more than a short walk to the shops. So, the title might be a little removed from the truth; not least because the 'village' square is slightly less that 200 yards from our front door. However, there are two quite diverse ways of getting there.

On the one hand, there is the High Steet (below, left)..........

...........and, less than 100 yards away is  a more rural alternatve (above, right), The Downs Link Path which runs parallel with and behind the shops on the High Street; and, from our point of view, it's a question of turning right or left from the end of our road. The path is a former railway track along which it's possible to walk to Guildford in one direction an Horsham in the other; both of which are quite lengthy treks.
