The snow before Christmas was pretty deep for the south of England - but, last night's snowfall was the deepest I've seen in the twenty-plus years we've been down here........

Picture

It was so heavy that it was deeper than the depth of the steps on the outside staircase..........

The view from our lounge window was interesting - a palm tree covered in snow. The larger one, in the foreground, is rumoured to be the tallest in the UK.

Ky,

It's by no means a 'siege' situation - but we did stock-up with enough bread/milk to see us through a couple of days because it's questionable whether, or not, we could get the car up a quite steep drive to the public road. It is possible to walk; so our younger son is just about to trek a mile or so to the local pub (purely for research purposes).

B. I'm loving the photographs, the latest one with the icicles is a winner. Your weather has made the news here, headlines in fact. Lucky your son is happy to do the research trekking the mile to the local, you never know it may be a matter of sanity further down the track.

Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love.
