My attention has been drawn to a web-site about Christmas Island (which is where I spent the last year of my military service). Apart from the important ecological issues raised, what especially appeals to me is the wonderful wording the author (a native of the south Pacific) uses. This really shouldn't be missed by anyone who shares an interest in language.

The Republic of Kiribati is a country having the 21st century in the world earliest by relation of the date line. The Christmas island that is located in the east end inside increases with the island that the rising sun of a century rises in the world newly earliest.
