The clocks 'went back' in the UK last night/this morning. So, it feels that autumn really has arrived. Having said that, there has been a carpet of leaves across the lanes around here for at least a couple of weeks and the locals say that they don't usually fall from the trees until after on Bonfire Night (see earlier Blog). I'm sure that their premature descent is an omen of sorts - but, I don't know what. No doubt, time will tell.

There did seem to be no gap this year between summer and autumn.
