Never the most technically-gifted individual, it was a quite an achievement for me to put together this journal in 1997. I used a little old Apple Mac Classic computer to compose the text and, having left approproiate spaces, pasted photographs, diagrams and maps on later. A very good friend and neighbour owned a printing business and he printed out several copies for me to distribute amongst friends and family. In order to feature it in this web-site, I've scanned each page as if it were a photograph and, as a consequence, in some internet browsers, I believe it might not be possible to increase the size of the text.
